Dallas this Saturday night

I know I have poked fun at the fact that we are a Dallas band playing Dallas, seriously we have not been playing Dallas that much at all. Actually we have been playing out of town 4 times to our 1 show in the area. Now this is a good thing not a bad thing. See when you first start out as a band, all you play is your home town, because that is where your friendbase is, notice I said friendbase and not fanbase. A lot of these people turn into fans, but they initially come out to see you because they know you and want to support. If a band can stay together longer than a year then the next quest is to go out of town. As fun as it is on the road, these gigs are humbling. When you go to a town with no friends or family and just the people in the bar, they don't know you shit from shirley, so you have to win these people over as fans. To this day we still play out of town gigs that consist of 5 people and yes you still perform like there are 500 people, but in the back of your mind you are CRAVING 500 people. So come out this Saturday to O'Riley's, it is $5 cover and no charge for parking, it is off of forest around greenville ave. We would love to see our FRIENDBASE there!!!
