We here at monkeyshyne inc. finally decided, well upper senior management decided, to release a little bit of money for a monkeyshyne reality show. Sure there are a lot of reality shows out there right now, but how many really show the life of a musician? None, so we decided it would be a good idea to let people in on what happens behind those magic curtains. "monkeyshyne Last Stand" is about a band just trying to make it in the craziness of this day and age. For the next couple of months we are going to take you places you have never been, and some where you would never want to go. Believe it or now we have written, produced, edited and directed this film all by ourselves. I know many of you will find that hard to believe, but believe it. Here you go world here is Episode 1 - The Challenge or monkeyshynes Last Stand!

Past and Present

We played without Colin this past weekend and I must admit if felt a little strange. I can't remember the last show we played without him. Plus I can really tell how bad our timing is without him. Well it isn't really me, it is Keith and Oz, a bunch of white boy, no-time musicians. I am really solid, just ask Colin...

Before we got on stage we started talking about doing a monkeyshyne reality tv show. I mean why not, everyone else has one, why can't we. After brainstorming for several hours we had the perfect idea and we even had a theme song, thanks to Oz. I think this show will be really good for us and for the rest of the world. It will really open everyone eyes to the reality of the road and the touring band. And you will be able to see how hard it all really is.

Be prepared monkeyshyne reality TV is on its way!

CENSORSHIP, I will not tolerate this behavior!

Someone in the monkeyshyne camp decided to take it upon themselves and have our photographs censored for some reason or the other. You can go to http://www.scorndesign.com/photo/thumbnails.php?album=264 to see the whole photo shoot at our last show by Scott from Scorn Designs. As you can see the images say "Censored by Senior Upper Middle Management" which means that this directive did not come from me. Just to be clear I am 100% Senior Upper Level Management, there is no "Middle" in my title. What I can't understand is how a picture of Colin's penis does not get censored...BTW Colin you sure do have a small penis...I DEMAND that whomever in the monkeyshyne camp who gave this directive to Scott come forward and tell me why we are CENSORING a ROCK BAND... Colin would be rolling over in his grave if he were dead...

I wish...(a thought inside the head of senior upper level management)

...that Keith would use a fraction of that intelligence when working for the band. He definitely has potential to be monkeyshyne middle management. I mean his blogs are always witty, and smart.

I wonder what I need to do to motivate him more? Maybe I could apply the D.I.C (Developing Individuals & Choices) method. I know Keith would work well under the D.I.C plan. I think D.I.C would be a great motivator for him.

I could always try employing the P.U.S.S.I.E (People Understanding Social Systems Inside & Externally) method, but I just don't think he would be as motivated about P.U.S.S.I.E as much as he would be about D.I.C

Something tells me that Keith is one of those guys that really likes D.I.C...
